Job Description



Alion is searching for a highly experienced Flight Simulation Pilot Analsyst  to develop missions to be integrated into the USAF WPNS syllabi, Red Flag and Green Flag missions, and other related training events within the 57th Group, uitilizing  fifth generation  and other flight simulation platforms.


  • As a Subject Matter Expert in a field, analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of  complex military combat scenarios to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making or resource allocation. 
  • Utilizes complex modeling and simulation and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, or  other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions.   
  • Recognized within the organization as a Subject Matter Expert in fighter operations.
  • Provides integral support in the requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, verification and validation, and documentation of modeling and simulation based decision support system applications.  Participates in testing and implementation and recommends solutions to problems identified.
  • Provides technical support to organizational programs and projects in area of expertise.
  • Provides on-going support to the customer.


  • Minimum two (2) years of experience Combat Mission Ready (CMR) as an F-22 OR Air Force / Marine / Navy / International F-35, US / international pilot
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in an operations squadron, group, or wing training program or five (5) years of experience working in a DoD flying squadron, group, or wing training program.
  • USAF Green Flag, Red Flag or comparable exercise experience. 
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • USAFWS Weapons School Instructor Course (WIC) Graduate desired. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A security clearance of an appropriate level will be required after employment.
