Responsibilities/Qualification

Position Summary:

Responsible for a multitude of technical support and documentation, including on-site evaluation, installation planning, and technical coordination for all east coast Fleet Synthetic Training (FST), NUWTAC (Navy Underwater Training Course), and LVC (Live, Virtual, and Constructive) distributed exercises which includes participation from the NATO Allies, US Air Force (AWACS/CRC), US Army (PATRIOT), and US Marine Corps.

Job Duties:        

  • Function as a liaison for technical issues and planning with NWDC, IWS 1IT, SPAWAR, NAVAIR, CSCS Dahlgren, ATG Norfolk and ATG Mayport in support of FST exercises. 
  • Maintain liaison with NWDC, NAVSEA, SPAWAR, NAVAIR, CSCS Dahlgren, ATG Norfolk, ATG Mayport, IWS 1IT, Joint and Coalition sites, and other commands as needed to facilitate the coordination of technical issues in support of scheduled exercises.
  • Conduct exercise technical/installation planning and provide technical coordination and support for FST as technical operations lead during exercises. 
  • Oversee/coordinate shipboard combat system troubleshooting, testing and all required preventative and restorative technical efforts during events. 
  • Collaborate with exercise participates the overarching network architecture design and prepares Joint Training & Experimentation Network (JTEN) Firewall Waiver for approval from IA/Cybersecurity Joint Staff, JS/J7. 
  • During FST exercises and training events, keep the OPFOR/Game Directors and FST Director advised on the current status of all exercises participant training system statuses. 
  • Attend planning meetings, conduct teleconferences, coordinate technical planning amongst exercise participants, and develop and implement C5I test plans, VoIP Layout/Directories, C5I Familiarization Briefs, exercise reports and other documentation as required. 

Qualifications:

  • Network Plus or Security Plus required.
  • Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience
