Job Description

Position Summary

This position is currently funded and will end in mid-September 2020. The successful candidate will manage a Geospatial portfolio of programs  with existing customers. The portfolio serves multiple customers and requires management of multiple subcontractors with teams crossing several companies. The programs involve emergent technologies that regularly require exceptionally high level of ingenuity and creativity, and regularly require application of advanced scientific principles, theories, and concepts. Problem complexity is such that information is developed that extends existing boundaries of knowledge of a given field.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customer, subcontractors, other prime contractors and other outside agencies. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities. Regularly meets with and updates the customer on project status. Leads program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

•Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned programs from inception through completion. Manages technical and administrative staff and provides ongoing direction in the performance of the assigned program.

•Leads technical discussions for project reviews. Prepares and delivers formal briefings.

•Develops and monitors program plan including time and cost estimates. Ensures project outputs are delivered on schedule and within funding.

•Monitors adherence to program plan and schedule, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

•Maintains a staffing level to ensure technical quality and appropriate experience levels are consistent with current and projected project activities.

•Reviews reports and briefings prepared by technical staff for quality.

Education and Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related technical discipline plus 8-10 years or Master’s plus 6-8 years of experience in a technical position and knowledge of current state-of-the-art issues in technical discipline. At least 8 years of management experience. 12-15 years of highly specialized experience may be taken in lieu of a completed degree.

•PM experience monitroting cost, schedule, and performance

•Geospatial/GeoINT Subject Matter Expertise

•Experience working with geophysical and geospatial data, including terrain/digital elevation models, LIDAR and multi/hyper-spectral imagery, and National Technical Means (NTM).

•ISR systems expertise and advanced tactical ground sensors.

•Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

•Strong customer service orientation.

•Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) experience is desired.
