Job Description

Alion Science and Technology is looking for a qualified Senior Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support AFLCMC/WWFGB, Special Programs at Tinker AFB, OK. 

Must have the following qualifications:



Experience:

  • DoD Directive 8140.01 IS and IA certifications
  • Air Force Special Access Authorization Tool experience
  • Experience implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) understanding
  • Experience developing IA Standard Operating Procedures, System Security Plans (SSPs), and implementing audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and applying security-related software tools to manage and control classified information systems.
  • Manage the configuration of classified information systems.
  • Experience uploading and downloading files across classified networks operating at different classification levels, and controlling and recording all incoming and outgoing digital media.
  • Resolve information systems security incidents. 
  • Develop and review information assurance and cyber security documentation. 
  • Reviewing and developing AIS accreditation/ certification support documentation.
    Notifying the customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification.
  • Performing system and network self-inspections.
  • Providing security coordination and review on all system test plans.
  • Attending system technical exchange meetings.
  • Identifying AIS vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures.
  • Representing the customer on various technical review teams.
  • Conducting security surveys at subordinate facilities and gathering pertinent security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packages.
  • Coordinating, preparing and tracking AIS inspections, reports and responses.
  • Maintaining AIS security records.
  • Advising on network nodes operating in subordinate government and contractor facilities, and receiving direction from the ISSM and government PSO.
  • Specifically, the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) provides assistance on IT and information system security issues affecting the mission of the NRO by implementing common information system security practices, policies and technologies.
  • Maintain operational security posture for a program or information system.
    Support security authorization activities in compliance with NRO Policy and Procedures.
  • Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
  • Prepare and review documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment
  • Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
     
    DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level I and GIAC Security Leadership Certification Security+, or equivalent certifications, and 3-5 years of classified information systems experience working with an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to develop and implement DoD security controls.
