Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Position Summary

A temporary position within Alion which prepares a college student for entry into the workforce by providing emphasis on training and gathering experience related to logistics and computer information systems disciplines, and which is applicable to the business needs of the company.

The position is for college students who are, at minimum, rising sophomores in their academic program.

Duties and Responsibilities          

In support of the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE), performs professional administrative, logistics, and computer related work of an introductory nature, gradually increasing in level of difficulty and responsibility.

Performs routine logistics, inventory, and administrative functions, in support of the assigned functional area.

Performs basic word processing assignments and data entry using database applications and spreadsheets.

Prepares routine reports and creates various documents and electronic information with direction.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Must currently be enrolled as a student in an accredited public or private college or university and at minimum, be a rising sophomore in their academic field of study.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Experience with basic office tasks and software including Microsoft Office.

Excellent administrative, organization and communication skills.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be diligent, hardworking and able to work in a professional office environment.

Desires to gain professional experience and eagerness to learn.

Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance.  (Clearance required at onset of employment).
