The Enterprise Architect will be part of the Alion Team which is assisting AFRL/EN to modernize, integrate, and streamline business applications and software across the enterprise.  The goal is to improve integrity, efficiency, and management of critical business information for AFRL's Science and Technology (S&T) mission.

The Enterprise Architect will provide expertise in requirements/use case development, process re-engineering, system interface analysis, tool analysis, and general system software engineering.  The position will lead a Team of system engineers within AFRL/EN to develop Enterprise Architecture views.  Specific requirements include:

•       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Management Science, or related disciplines;

•       Demonstrated communication skills (written & oral) to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders (technical & business);

  • Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques;
  • Ability to plan and organize in a complex, fast-paced environments;
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, team player, positive attitude and enthusiastic;
  • Facilitation skills (e.g., facilitating diverse groups to a decision or consensus);
  • Experience leading a Team of system engineers;
  • Solicit, understand, and document the client’s business requirements, processes and workflows;
  • Analyzes system requirements and assist in design and development activities;
  • Evaluates, develops, and delivers Business Use Case (as-is), Business Use Case (to-be), business process flow diagrams, and value streams;
  • Create DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)  support artifacts that align with the business requirements;
  • Gather requirements and help build and document specifications for development;
  • Be responsible for interaction with clients including eliciting client user stories;
  • Conduct gap analysis between current solution and customer requirements;
  • Work with the clients to demonstrate the changes for system needs;
  • Experience with of DoDAF and other architecture models in developing and sustaining an Enterprise Architecture;
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Management Science, or related disciplines is desired;
  • Secret clearance is desired;
  • Agile Development experience is desired.
