Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Position Summary:

Incumbent will work in direct support of HQMC I&L LPO-1 Section. Incumbent will facilitate the preparation and execution of Plans reviews and assessment endeavors. Additionally, as current revisions to the Joint Strategic Capabilities Plans (JSCP) are realized and implemented, Service logistics support for both MARFOR component supporting plans and Service Title X advocacy requirements will increase in scope, frequency and criticality.

Job Duties:

  • Provide analytic capability for OPLAN support plans and planning.
  • The incumbent will facilitate support for DC I&L directed MARFOR engagement in support of logistics requirements and Service Title X requirements, shortfalls and support strategies; support for recurring staff analysis for Service Title X logistics advocacy requirements, and provide on-site staff support for Service Logistics Plans, Future and Current Operations and executive-level administrative support as required.
  • Work involves a broad range of logistics functions with each function encompassing many varied complex features.
  • The incumbent assists in the development of short, mid, and long range plans affecting the basic content and character of Marine Corps equipment allowance management programs.
  • Work involves areas required the development of new approaches, techniques, and criteria.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Operational Logistics Experience (MARFOR, Joint and/or MEF experience) a plus.
  • Must be familiar with Global Force Management Planning for rotational and emergent requirements.
  • Knowledge of the organization structure of Marine Corps operating forces, the Support Establishment, Reserves, and other DoD agencies.
  • Knowledge of DoD, Department of the Navy and Marine Corps material management plans, policies, objectives and organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps worldwide logistics operations in both peacetime and combat.
  • Proficient in knowledge management to include 1) assessing needs and defining strategy, 2) analyze and design, 3) pilot and implement and 4) monitor and improve.
  • A mastery of Headquarters Marine Corps administrative organization, processes and procedures.
  • Must be proficient in share point and Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Must be able to travel TAD – CONUS/OCONUS to plans/operations events.
  • A PLUS/Preferred: Experience with GCCS-MC a plus.
  • Location: Arlington, VA. The location of this assignment will be based out of the Pentagon.
  • Clearance: Required: SECRET with current investigation.
  • Preferred prior USMC MOS Experience: 1302, 3002, 0402, 0505, 0491, 0511

Education:

Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years experience.
