Job Description



Position Summary

Under general supervision, provides technical, programmatic, and administrative support services in support of NAVSEA PMS 407 Modernization Execution program.  Assist in the establishment and monitoring of PMS 407 Execution metrics that entail all relevant and current CNO shipboard availability data.    

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance and support to PMS 407.
  • Create and/or update databases and spreadsheet-analysis data in electronic formats compatible with NAVSEA-approved, web-based document sharing initiatives in support of PMS407 programs to include, but not be limited to availability planning, execution status, and financial and budget status.
  • Collect and collate data from various sources regarding status of availability planning efforts including Ship Change Documents (SCD), Ship Installation Drawings (SID), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) material, and funding to support availability planning and execution meetings and briefings. Data sources should include, but not be limited to the following databases: Navy Data Environment (NDE), Hull Management System (HMS), and NDE-SPAWAR Integrated Data Environment (SIDE).
  • Assemble data provided by various outside agencies.  Create executive summaries, charts, graphs, and other products that convey ship availability status, execution status, and updates to issue resolutions.
  • Provides on-going technical assistance to higher level Functional Analysts and the customer.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • An Active Secret Security Clearance is required for employment.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 0 to 2 years of related operations research experience. 
  • Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
