Job Description


Position Summary

Supports program and business unit management staff by performing various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis. 

 May track key project tasks, financial status and spend plans; monitor project deliverables and timelines, organize project related meetings and develop reports and other deliverables as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists in the preparation of management plans and reports.

Maintains and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates financial reports as required. Maintains appropriate records and documentation. 

Identifies and resolves routine problems to prevent future problems. 

Coordinates schedules to facilitate completion of proposals, contract deliverables, task order review, and briefings/presentations.

Performs analysis, development, and review of program administrative operating procedures.

Responsible for developing, drafting, writing, and editing reports, briefs, proposals, and other documents as assigned.

Interfaces with personnel to coordinate meetings and events, maintain logs, records and files, provides end user support, and performs general administrative duties.

Assists in budgetary and financial management.

Responsible for preparing and/or maintaining systems, programming and operations documentation, procedures and methods, including user reference materials.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of financial, accounting, and forecasting concepts.

Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications including JAMIS preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

US Citizen and a  security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.



Bachelor's degree plus 5 years directly related experience developing budgets, performing financial analysis and reporting for use in program and / or corporate planning. 
Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
Knowledge of government contracting environment, management/business plans and program reporting.
Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Strong computer skills, MS Office Suite.  Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel  required.
Effective organizational skills.
A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
