Position Summary:

Alion Science & Technology is seeking a self-motived individual capable of performing competitive analysis, customer analysis and development of Price-to-Win targets.  The PTW Analyst will serve as a member of the Business Development team. 

The PTW Analyst is required to independently formulate and refine anticipated competitor pricing strategies and price targets.  This entails data collection, analysis of customer’s buying behavior, and award biases coupled with competitor bidding behavior and anticipated bid strategy.  Excellent communication skills are required to present and defend PTW findings to executive audience.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Perform analysis on competitor pricing based on award history.
•Perform analysis on customer evaluation and award tendencies.
•Conduct opportunity-specific research (customer and competitor) to develop key foundational assumptions that will feed the PTW.
•Analyze RFP of assigned opportunities to understand pricing requirements, cost levers, and customer hot buttons.
•Responsible for presenting PTW findings to diverse executive stakeholders.
•Assist Pricing team in implementing PTW target.
•Maintain corporate PTW database.
•Suggest and complete ad hoc analyses/special projects that further develops PTW capabilities.

Education and Experience

•Must possess 7+ yrs. of experience/expertise in U.S. Federal Government Contracting support functions, contract project management, and business development capture and/or proposal management.
•BA/BS in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

•Knowledge of U.S. federal Government services/solutions contracting/buying practices, contract project management and capture and proposal management.
•Critical thinking skills are required; as are strong communication skills.
•Ability to build and explain complex financial/pricing models.
•Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance
•Knowledge of FAR and experience with all contract types (FFP, cost-plus, and T&M).
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
