Job Description
Responsibilities/Qualification
Alion is actively seeking a senior level logistics analyst with at least eight years of experience in In Service support on an active contract with the U.S. Navy. This position with support the Program Executive Office Submarines program office, PMS404, Joint Undersea Weapons Program Office, oversees the design, production, delivery and life cycle support of heavyweight and lightweight torpedoes and associated products.
This position is in Washington, DC by the Navy Yard.
Experience should include:
Master's Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Familiarity with NAVSUP-WSS, NAVSUP-GLS, NAVSUP-FMS, NAVSUP-DLA Contracting and DLA Centers a
Working knowledge of ISEA and Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) in support of Interim Supply Support (ISS) spares procurements
Knowledge of logistics related documents such as the Logistics Requirements Funding Summary (LRFS), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), Single Acquisition Management Plan, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) charts, maintenance plan, item unique identification plans etc. Position requires ability to write, review, and edit these types of documents.
Ability to attend, or conduct, program office meetings and teleconferences as a representative of client's logistics staff to provide information regarding ILS concerns, gather information from original equipment manufacturer (OEM), in-service engineering agent (ISEA), ILS, etc. in order to adjust system planning appropriately.
Familiarity with the twelve product support elements and their logistics support plans, for example, Navy training system plans (NTSP), provisioning, and supply chain products.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Windows software, including Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and database applications, essential.
An active DoD Secret clearance.
Remote delivery and telecommuting over 5-10% may be an option from Mechanicsburg, PA.
Travelling is minimal; less than 20%
Responsibilities/Qualification
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides direct interface with NAVSUP-WSS, NAVSUP-GLS, NAVSUP-FMS, NAVSUP-DLA Contracting and DLA Centers
Interfaces between ISEA and NAVSUP for Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) in support of Interim Supply Support (ISS) spares procurements.
Reviews technical data packages as required ensuring procurement of current configuration baseline spares
Researches alternative sources of supply
Develops agendas for ILS Supply Support Meetings
Assists NAVSUP in the development of Coordinated Shipboard Allowance list (COSAL) supporting IMAs
Prepares presentations and minutes
Coordinates with OEMs ensuring latest configuration part numbers are identified
Assists NAVSUP in ICAPS provisioning process
Identifies areas of redundancy and utilize DoD standard processes to reduce cost
Participates in Monthly Backorder Report Telecoms to identify any systemic issues and resolve with NAVSUP WSS and DLA
Tracks and monitors NAVSUP-WSS and DLA Interim Supply Support (ISS) spares contract award and delivery status
Reviews and updates ILS Plans and coordinate efforts with ISEA Newport and Keyport
Assists NAVSUP planner in reviewing Depot Level Repair (DLR) candidates prior to workload conference
Reviews and updates HWT and LWT supply support milestone charts ensuring smooth transition from ISS to traditional Navy Supply Support at MSD
Assist ISEA in development of HWT and LWT ISS spares buy list.
