This position supports an intelligence community customer storage site with a staff of between 20 - 30 made up of both government employees and contractors.  The site receives equipment from contractors, conducts test and inspection activities on new equipment, on equipment being prepared for issue and on equipment returned after use.  Other technical staff build equipment components that support unique equipment configuration requirements.

Purchase material and contract support using a FAR compliant purchasing system for the program described above.  Develop processes for procurement for this program coordinating proposed processes with the PM, government staff and MacB purchasing staff for compliance with FAR and company policies/processes.  Obtain necessary government approval for all procurements.

Procure services using contracts for repair and calibration of customer equipment, working with technical staff to identify vendors for the work, develop sole- or single-source justification when appropriate, and independent price estimates/review of vendor proposals for price reasonableness.

Supervise micro-purchasing system conducted by select staff to insure FAR compliance.  Develop procedures for micro-purchasing, recommend individual staff members for micro-purchase authority to the PM, and recommend that the PM withdraw micro-purchase authority from individual staff with justification.

Oversee the shipping function.

Prepare and maintain files of procurement records, including documents supporting procurement decisions in support of FAR compliance and under MacB corporate purchasing policies and processes.  Prepare, submit and brief reports summarizing purchases and the amounts committed. 

  • 3 years’ experience conducting procurements in support of government contracts under a FAR compliant system, including all the functions described above.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor repair and return.
  • Training and certifications relevant to procurement support
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • SCRM experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Government contract finance
  • TS Clearance with current or recent access to SCI and FS polygraph is required.
