Responsibilities/Qualification

Summary:

Alion has an excellent opposition for a Junior Program Analyst in Norfolk, VA!  In this position, you will assist our team of System Administrators, and support work for the Navy Continuous Training Environment. 

Duties:

Under direct supervision, assists to analyze and evaluate programs or projects to provide program and project managers information to be used in planning, monitoring, and resource allocation to include financial and contractual data. 

Helps to develop plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements.

Gathers data and maintains spreadsheets and databases and produces reports.

Assists in analyzing data and making recommendations to program management.

Drafts correspondence and prepares presentations.

Prepares paperwork and forms and develops new forms and procedures as appropriate.

Verifies paid invoices against purchase orders and cost summary sheets and monitors departmental spending against budget.

Assists in budget preparation.

Maintains records, information, data and statistic on department activities and may monitor project schedules for management.

Receives, processes and maintains documents such as time records, travel, invoices and purchase orders.

Responsible for preparing weekly and monthly reports involving research and data collection.

Adheres to administrative procedures and makes recommendations to improve efficiency.

May advise managers and staff on proper procedures and policies.

Represents the department on administrative matters both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in a related discipline and at least 1 year's related experience. Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

High level of expertise with MS Excel

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling and proofreading skills

Excellent MS Office skills Budgeting experience

Must currently hold and be able to maintain a DoD Active Secret Clearance.
