Responsibilities/Qualification

Position Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with US Navy program office responsible for LCS class ships throughout their lifecycle (PMS 505) with a focus on the transition of each new ship from an acquisition platform to a Fleet asset. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in PMS 501 Configuration Control Board (CCB) process, evaluating PCWs and ECPs for in-service applicability.

Coordinate tracking and proper close out of all Trial Cards that have been assigned to any in-service hull.

Review Requests for Deviations (RFDs) for Departure from Specifications (DFS) applicability.

Assist in establishing PMS 505FI processes and procedures.

Coordinate the Transfer Book process on behalf of PMS 505FI.

Assist in the resolution of HM&E and C4I engineering design and technical issues that have the potential to impact operational requirements or testing schedules.

Develop presentations, whitepapers, and other material on LCS Fleet Introduction.

Coordinate with PMS 501, PMS 420, PMS 339, LCSRON, SUPSHIP and other LCS stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition for hulls entering in-service status from new construction.

Provides advice and counsel to management and plays a role in deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other business development or alliance development projects.

Participates in planning meetings with business partners.

Serves as a resource for resolution of problems. 

Develops documentation, reports, and project plans and prepares and may present briefings and staff seminars.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or 15 years of related experience in lieu of educational requirements.

Familiarity with Change Management, Ship Change Documents, Engineering Change Proposals, and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).

Experience with the LCS Program.

At least 10 years of Operational Navy Experience.
