Job Description

Position Summary

The Program/Project Analyst will support the Program Management Office (PMO) in executing government customer requirements.  This position will support day-to-day management of equipment purchasing for the Prime contractor and will work with vendors, engineers, and customer leads to ensure proper priority of equipment purchases in order to meet delivery requirements.  The Program/Project Analyst will manage inventory, provide active product costing, and facilitate sourcing decisions. The Program Analyst will be an integral team member in a variety of programs and must be a strong team player. 

Responsibilities

Coordination of the procurement of material per direction of government project leads

Tracking status of pending procurement activities (to include shipping and delivery dates)

Utilization of RPS – Requisition and Procurement System Alion’s internal ordering software

Complete ERP transactions identifying receipt of all products received

Track multiple active procurements via ongoing communication with vendors and suppliers, confirming lead times, and delivery dates

Prepare Bill of Material (BOM) per customer requirements

Product costing per the BOM and cost analysis

Estimate at Complete planning and development

Provide administrative actions directly related to property inventory and accountability actions

Work closely with Customers to maintain a clear understanding of customer technical requirements

Collaborate with team members to build and maintain strong relationships and foster a cohesive and effective team

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required

Two to four years’ experience in purchasing and/or logistics

Active Secret clearance a plus; must be eligibile to obtain a US Government clearance

Proficient in Microsoft application with an emphasis on Excel

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals

Strong oral and written communication skills

Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in development and completion of assigned tasks

Responsiveness to customers

Demonstration of excellent customer support and experience working with competing priorities

Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Ability to prioritize tasks
