Job Description

Alion is seeking a highly resourceful self-starter for a Program Analyst Associate position in Norfolk, VA.  This position is a multi-discipline position that supports reporting and analysis and day to day administration.

As you learn and develop in your career with Alion, you will begin by performing various duties including time card and travel administration, expense report review, manpower and resource scheduling assistance, and tracking training.  You’ll also perform office management duties related to visitor sign-in/out, badge issuing/collecting, escorting guests to meet with government associates, ordering office supplies, etc.  In this role, you will have the exciting responsibility of working with new hires during onboarding to the team. Other duties and responsibilities will include:

*       Advise managers and staff on proper procedures and policies.
*       Maintain records, information, data and statistic on department activities and may monitor project schedules for management.
*       Be the primary project meeting coordinator for the department:

*       Coordinate smaller-scale projects and logistical details to ensure smooth operation of a department.

*      Coordinate and schedule all project meetings as directed by Project Leads

*      Confirm meeting agendas/presentations are created and posted prior to meeting
*       Attend meetings, annotate discussions, provide input and suggestions, and return meeting minutes to all attendees
*       Draft correspondence and prepares presentations and graphics.
*       Prepare reports from spreadsheets and databases.
*       Adhere to administrative procedures and makes recommendations to improve efficiency.


Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree plus 0-2 years of related experience or a high school
diploma plus and equivalent combination of college, technical training or
work experience.  Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized
knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent word processing skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

The candidate must be strong in their reading and writing skills, and
experienced with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Current Secret clearance preferred.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a
Secret clearance.
