Responsibilities/Qualification

This position is in support of the Navy Program Executive Office Acoustic Program Manager (PMS 401)

Planning and tracking the development, production, validation and delivery of A-RCI ILS products in support of PMS401 program objectives.  Identify scheduling conflicts and resource allocation issues with delivering ILS products to the A-RCI ILS manager.  Work to de-conflict schedules.  Majority of the work is on the Acoustics Rapid COTS Insertion (A-RCI) program but also provide oversight of Configuration Management of Towed Systems.

Advise the ILS Program Manager on acquisition and sustainment issues, alternatives and effects of ILS decisions.  Mentor subordinates and provide opportunities to enhance logistics skills.

Interface with government, other support contractors, hardware contractors and Alion management to enhance logistics support.

Manage both co-located and remote based subordinates.  Some are senior subject matter experts.

Budget and control expenditures for labor and other direct costs, approve travel based on customer priorities and present program financial status when required.  Hire new personnel when needed.

Prepare responses to program office taskers as they relate to ILS.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience with Navy acquisition/in service programs.  Minimum of five years of experience on ACAT IV or greater acquisition programs.

Bachelor's degree in related field.

In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

Understand the various ILS specialties in order to effectively evaluate the interdependencies of ILS products.

Position requires ACTIVE Secret security clearance.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

SONAR knowledge, Navy supply, training and technical documentation and ILS and Program Management certifications are all pluses.
