Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the part time / temporary Program Project Administrator Associate provides support for planning, monitoring, and resource allocation for technical support contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities          

Reviews and becomes a resource for contractual requirements and participates in translating into program requirements. Participation on multiple contracts supporting various DoD agencies will be required.

Ensures the receipt, accuracy and timeliness of subcontractor submitted documents relating to the subcontract deliverables as well as monitoring performance relative to timeliness, cost considerations, and technical objectives.

Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program/project cost and scheduling risks. Ensures risks and delays are captured and reported appropriately. Assists with other contractual re Evaluates deliverables based on utility to the Scientific and Technical Community and determines how existing and regularly developed products fit into contractual requirements.

Maintains strong working relationships with Project and Division Leads, and collects contractual deliverables in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) schedule.

Participates in developing contractual deliverables related to Program and Project Management tasks. Some technical writing may be required, with the assistance of subject matter experts.

Performs project management activities to assist the project manager and engineering lead. 

Assist Program/Project managers by coordinating regular and surge meetings and taking notes, as needed. 

Assist with proposal development and review, as needed. Review of some technical writing may be required.

Implements strategies for deploying and implementing new program planning policy initiatives and measures the effectiveness of implementation.

Creates queries and produces custom reports from databases and spreadsheets.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus 0-2 years of directly related experience in a government contracting environment

In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted for additional work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Have the ability and flexibility to multi-task as priorities change and situations arise

Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word

Experience with Technical Writing a plus


Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
