Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Title: Process Improvement Engineer

Responsibilities:

Under the direction and guidance of the Process Engineering Lead:

•         Maintain CMMI SVC + SSD and CMMI DEV accreditation at Maturity Level 3

•         Define, implement and maintain processes and procedures to meet business objectives

•         Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvements

•         Develop initiatives for continuous process improvements

•         Ensure compliance with customer and company proposed standards

•         Work with other process engineers in integration of new and existing processes

•         Use best practices to carry out process analysis, re-engineering, process measurements and change management activities

•         Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks

•         Evaluate current business processes and recommend solutions for improvements

•         Develop and maintain best practices to meet changing business needs

•         Prioritize and execute projects for ongoing process improvements

•         Provide technical advice on processing technology, capability, and risks

Basic Qualifications:

•         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience

•         3+ years of experience with process improvement

•         Background in CMMI SVC + SSD and CMMI DEV models

•         Involvement within or leading a CMMI-certified organization

•         Basic understanding of other process/quality models: ISO 9001, DevOps, Lean, Six Sigma

•         Intermediate knowledge on workflow process, particularly with respect to technical management

•         Experience in auditing, process documentation, workflow definition, and analyzing gaps

•         Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction

•         Ability to work both in a team and individually

•         Mature technical writing capability

Preferred Qualifications

•         CMMI Certification (Associate or Professional)

•         Experience working directly with engineers and engineering managers with attention to process

•         Experience with Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence

Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
