Responsibilities/Qualification 

Provide subject matter expertise to the 711th Human Performance Wing in the areas of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) pilot operations. Plan, coordinate, and help execute Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training and mission rehearsal events. Assist customers with troubleshooting simulators and associated equipment. Events may be local to Wright-Patterson AFB OH or at other CONUS locations. Provide subject matter expertise to guide development, configuration, testing and operation of state-of-the-art RPA (and other) simulations. Produce with the production and maintenance of current and relevant military, techniques, and procedures for academic instruction, reflecting knowledge of RPAs. Assists in the design, implementation, and control of complex military rehearsal scenarios using simulation software such as Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE), Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG), and various other commercial off the shelf simulation software relevant to RPA tactics. Provide leadership to less knowledgeable people. Prepare and deliver presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and government representatives. 

Travel within CONUS required. 

Required Qualifications: 

10 years of progressively increasing military/civilian experience, including remotely piloted aircraft pilot, mission planning, and execution. 

MQ-9 pilot experience. 

Associate’s degree (bachelor’s or higher degree preferred) in air/space operations, flight dynamics, or related field.

All or most of the following: 

- Experience/knowledge of air support related to special operations. 

- Expert knowledge of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Close Air Support (CAS), overwatch, and related tactics, techniques, and procedures. 

- Expert knowledge of Electro-Optical Infra-Red (E-OIR) and related sensors. 

- Expert knowledge of US aircraft armament systems.
