MacAulay Brown is seeking an energetic and motivated engineer to lead one of our current field test teams in the area of radar testing and data analysis. As the lead engineer of a project team, you will develop test infrastructure necessary to translate customer experiment concepts into executable hardware and solutions to meet program goals. Infrastructure includes signal generation equipment (standard laboratory and special purpose) and instrumentation (high speed data recorders, video recorders). You will provide pretest development, checkout, and demonstration of equipment as well as on-site equipment setup and operation. Your tasks will also include test planning and equipment development to meet customer needs - RF design, waveform programming, FPGA programming, checkout of signal generation and test recorder equipment, operation of the equipment during testing, and post test data analysis.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Can use innovation and out-of-the box thinking to generate solutions to complex problems
  • Can be flexible and understand shifting customer priorities
  • Has excellent communication and organization skills
  • Has demonstrated the ability to plan, conduct, and lead laboratory and field tests
  • Can work cooperatively with other organizations and teams members
  • Can lead test infrastructure development efforts and direct technical tasks of other engineers
  • Can develop experimental concepts into hardware and software solutions
  • Can build, program, modify, and operate RF equipment
  • Has experience in: radar testing and evaluation, operation of test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, o-scopes, function generators), test data analysis, development of MATLAB and C/C++ code, software development in a Linux operating environment, and/or RF design

  • At least 10 years' experience as an Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • At least 3 years' experience as a test lead or lead engineer
  • BS Degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • US Citizenship
  • Secret Security Clearance (current)
