Job Description

The ideal candidate has experience providing operational and administrative support to leadership in a technical business area, to include facilitating meetings, and while perhaps not technically trained, is experienced at and comfortable with technical terms and concepts. Army operational experience strongly desired, such as someone who has had experience as a junior / midlevel officer. A technical degree is not required, but comfort with technical language - especially robotics language - is important. One of the responsibilities for this position taking extensive meeting notes of technical discussion, so the ability to pick up the language or already have it is essential.

Serves as the go-to Action Officer for the Army Chief Robotics at the U.S. Army's Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC). Helps with planning and executing logistic requirements including presentation materials for the high level meetings that includes General Officers, Senior Executive Service, Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, Academic, Joint / Interagency, and industry partners.

Job Duties:

  • Performs a wide variety of projects, studies and taskings, and must possess technical and analytical knowledge and skill in evaluating a multitude of initiatives under the domain of GVSC.
  • Primarily involved in planning, analyzing and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of internal operations for the Chief Roboticist office. Incumbent must interface and coordinate with various locations, functional matrix support organizations, higher headquarters staffs, other agencies and contractors. The incumbent maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the organization.
  • The incumbent performs as an integrated process team member and/or leader on various efforts working with different functional disciplines (e.g. engineering, logistics, business management, test) in association with the overall planning, analysis and implementation of operations, which may include support to key program reviews/milestones. Uses own initiative in developing procedures which will increase the general flow of information and overcome bottlenecks.
  • Duties will include performing status reporting, managing meetings, basic logistic activities, supporting and interacting with the protocol office, workload planning and scheduling, participation in a business process IPT, fundamentals of enterprise integration, and outcome-based performance measures.


Bachelor's degree plus 5 years experience.  Must have Active Secret Clearance.
