Responsibilities/Qualification

  MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), an ALION company, is seeking a Security Cooperation Subject Matter Expert to conduct studies & assessments in support of USSOCOM requirements.

Responsibilities:

  •  Conduct senior level planning to set clear objectives and synchronize SC efforts in support of defense strategy
  • Expert knowledge of strategic theory, mission, organization and interrelationships with: National and other Government agencies/activities, Department of Defense (DOD), Department of State (DOS), Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOC), and allied and partner military forces
  • Develop and coordinate plans, and present effective advice to USSOCOM’s leadership on how to leverage U.S. Government, Interagency, and private-sector capacity in support of the command SC mission
  • Have knowledge and experience on the Foreign Military Sale system and procedures, Security Assistance, Women for Peace and Stability
  • Coordinate and track all the Foreign Military Sale cases
  • Serve as the Defense Institution Building Coordinator and the Gender Advisor for the command
  • Compile, organize and deliver all SC data to Components and Joint Directorates
  • Monitor progress of significant security cooperation initiatives; track inputs (e.g., funding, manpower, and expertise), determine whether programmatic milestones are achieved
  • Review and identify any changes in the operational and strategic environment and identify any unforeseen challenges that impact initiative execution and implementation
  • Ensure security cooperation initiatives are appropriately monitored, and enter appropriate data into the Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (G-TSCMIS) and SOCOM databases
  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in a Security Cooperation / Security Assistance position preferred
  • Graduate of a level 3 Defense Security Cooperation Management Course preferred
  • TS Clearance w/SCI eligibility required

Additional Requirements: 

  • Experience and knowledge of the Theater Special Operations Commands and United States Special Operations Command missions.
  • Read and interpret United States military technical information and documents.
  • Write United States military formatted reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals, and produce presentations skillfully in English.
  • Effectively present and verbalize complex military and technical information, respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, co-workers, and customers in English
