Responsibilities/Qualification

 

The Senior Developer will be part of the Alion Team which is assisting 711 HPW/XPT to perform an analysis of hardware and software architecture for the purpose of modernizing, integrating and streamlining a system and application to fit within XPT’s structure. modernize, integrate, data conversion and streamline business applications and software across the enterprise.  The goal is to improve integrity, efficiency, and management of critical business information for AFRL's Science and Technology (S&T) mission.

The Senior Developer will provide expertise in requirements/development, software re-engineering, system interfaces, tool analysis, and general system software development and engineering.  The position will lead a Team within 711 HPW/XPT. Specific requirements include:

•         Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Management Science, or related disciplines;

•         Demonstrated communication skills (written & oral) to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders (technical & business);

•         Demonstrated experience with C++, Python, and SQL

  • Develop applications that provide the client with the analytics to optimize usability and techniques;
  • Ability to plan and organize in a complex, fast-paced environments;
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, team player, positive attitude and enthusiastic;
  • Experience leading a Team of software engineers;
  • Solicit, understand, and document the client’s business requirements, processes and workflows;
  • Analyzes system/software requirements and perform in design and development activities;
  • Experience with unit test in Python;
  • Be responsible for interaction with clients including eliciting client user stories;
  • Conduct gap analysis between current solution and customer requirements;
  • Work with the clients to demonstrate the changes for system/software needs;
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Secret clearance is required;
  • Agile Development experience is desired.
