Job Description



Candidate will provide technical and programmatic expertise to Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) in support of Electronic Warfare/Electromagnetic Spectrum (EW/EMS) Superiority requirements development.  The candidate will provide analysis for EW/EMS programs within ACC's Combat Forces Division (ACC/A5A) and Advanced Weapon System Division (ACC/A5/8ZW) to directly support Requirements documentation, coordination, and approval through the JCIDS process.  The candidate will interface with government counterparts to ensure that technical solutions meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements.  Position is full-time during normal duty hours at Langley AFB.  Travel (less than 25%) is required for this position.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical and operational requirements analysis to ACC and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) in support of Capability Planning, Development Planning, and EW road mapping activities
  • Assist HQ ACC in the management, execution, planning, and programming of designated EW programs and activities
  • Provide program continuity, technical and analytical assistance in the preparation and presentation of background papers, briefings, General Officer (GO) correspondence, and other responses to requests for information (RFI) on EW-related issues to include operational requirements
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and represent HQ ACC on USAF EW issues.Responsible for providing and assisting in the development of requirements documents in support of the JCIDS process.

  • Extensive USAF Electronic Warfare knowledge is required; operational EWO/DSO/WSO/CSO experience desired
  • 15+ years EW experience (operational and/or acquisition) required; experience managing EW programs highly desired
  • Demonstrated experience in developing EW systems requirements within the JCIDS process
  • Significant experience in planning, budgeting, and executing EW programs
  • Knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition and systems engineering required to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of the development, production, and deployment of systems, subsystems, and equipment
  • Master¿s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Management, Aeronautical Science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required; SAP experience preferred
