Responsibilities/Qualification

Job Summary:

Is a lead analyst on a project or program that is complex and/or novel in concept and development related to military operations and strategy. Develops problem resolution options based on thorough knowledge of the situation, globally, as well as internally, utilizing complex quantitative and qualitative theory and principles to develop viable options.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Candidate will be required to research existing smartphone applications and write frequent reports detailing use as an evasion aid. 

Publish the reports on a public portal (CAC-enabled) for community comment and involvement.

This position will require the monitoring of travel expenses and inform PM of requirements

Plan travel to meet stakeholders in the smartphone application arena.  Results of the meetings will need to be catalogued according to government requirements.

Education/Requirements:

Candidate must have knowledge of the military five paragraph Operations Order process.  He/she must be comfortable with coming up with a Plan of Action & Milestones and executing the plan.

Candidate will be required to update the 1-year schedule for this smartphone effort on a monthly basis.

Deployment experience is desired.

Must be keenly interested in learning about the latest technology related to smartphones. 

Must have technical aptitude that can search through app stores, recognize available technology and how it could relate to evasion planning and execution.

Clearance:  candidate must have active SECRET clearance and have ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. 

Candidate will be required to coordinate with SME in the Services, COCOMS, and other agencies to find best use practices and applications currently in use.  Candidate will be required to write reports that will be published on research completed.

Familiarity using Intelink or similar on-line publishing workspace is highly desired.

Location:

Most work will be conducted at Ft. Belvoir, VA

Local travel to Ft. Meade, Ft. Myer, Ft. AP Hill and the Pentagon is expected.  This position will likely travel from Ft. Belvoir to one of these other locations on a weekly basis

Quarterly trips to a Service SERE schools is expected

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of work experience in the US Military. 

Tactical level experience is highly desirable.

Experience in evasion planning is required.  Requirement for degree and/or years of work experience waivable if candidate has deep understanding of evasion planning.

Knowledge of Personnel Recovery is highly desired.

SERE School graduate is desired.
