Job Description

Alion Science and Technology is seeking a Software or Electrical Engineer with a strong background in software development and clear understanding of Modeling & Simulation (M&S) techniques and software. Candidate must possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to create dynamic Models & Simulations of adversary threat systems and subsystems in the following mission areas air, space/counterspace, ballistic missiles including weapons, sensors, and Command, Control, and Communications (C3). Work performed will fulfill National Air and Space Center's (NASIC's) scientific and technical intelligence requirements in support of National Level Intelligence Efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited school in Computer Engineering/Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Candidate must possess experience in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, C++ for maintaining dynamic models & simulations
  • Experience in employing Agile software development practices including automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of the Intelligence Community
  • Ability to perform (M&S) and technical intelligence analysis in one or all of the following mission areas air, space/counterspace, ballistic missiles including weapons, sensors, and Command, Control, and Communications (C3).
  • Knowledge of TMAP standard toolsets including TMAP Toolbox, Automod, TMAP Blockset, and Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE)
  • Experience developing Threat Verification and Validation Reports (TVVR) to document model performance against threat assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and technical interests/capabilities highly desired
  • Candidate must be a resident of the Dayton, OH area or be willing to relocate to the Dayton, OH area.

  • Other Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is a plus, experience with Intelligence Community (IC) models, all-source analysis, radar, aircraft, missiles, space vehicles, MATLAB, Simulink, and Simulink Coder.
