Job Description


Supports Change/Baseline Upgrade Processes on DDG51 Class Ships.  Directly interfaces with Navy customer in managing Class Standard Equipment Changes. Reviews Minor Liaison Inquiries and assists with processing of Major Liaison Inquiries.  Develops complex Change Financial Expenditure and Projection Reports. Maintains data accuracy for Level IV Changes, and assists in data Quality Assurance efforts. Assists with tracking approved changes for inclusion in implementation directives.

Direct support  to customer in keeping track of status of all Class Standard Equipment Changes, and where they are in the process. Assist with tracking down roadblocks.

Produce weekly and biweekly change expenditure/change projection financial reports.  Flag significant changes from week to week. Keep track of quarterly change expenditures and projections.

Track Major Liaison Inquiries, from the draft submittals through the process. Assist SUPSHIP Bath in reviewing draft Navy responses.  Draft SUPSHIP  Bath first endorsement letters for official Navy response.

Review Minor Liaison Inquiries, and flag ones for SUPSHIP Bath attention.

Assist with managing the process for implementing contractual changes into the contract documents, including Ships Specifications, Contract Drawings, and Schedules, and GFI documentation. 

Assist with mass data entry requirements, such as the award of new ship construction contracts.

Assist with all data quality assurance functions.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in technical field, or minimum 5 years direct experience working with technical data in DDG51 Program.

Advanced skills in EXCEL desired. 

Experience in Programming reports to extract data from relational databases a plus.

Exceptional ability in paying attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of DDG51 Change Processes and the organization of SUPSHIP Bath and PMS400D highly desired.

Work and/or educational  experience required may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

A security clearance is required or the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance of appropriate level.
