Responsibilities/Qualification

Responsibilities

Provides Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) and Combat Systems Engineering technical program support under minimal supervision for PEO IWS 4.0, the International and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program Office.

Supports the PEO IWS 4.0 SI&T Manager in the development and execution of the Spanish F110 AEGIS shipbuilding program, including analysis of technical review artifacts, technical documentation, schedules, and action items.

Comments on PEO IWS and supporting documentation in preparation for International Meetings and Forums, PARM reviews, technical and releasability reviews of deliverables, System Engineering Plans, System Test documentation and high-level working papers.

Prepares meeting minutes and develops PowerPoint presentations for the IWS4 SI&T Manager review and applies standard technical concepts, techniques and procedures to provide support in the planning and execution for the Spanish F110 AEGIS shipbuilding program, as well as technical execution and planning of FMS programs in accordance with DoD and USN policy.

Provides regular minimally supervised and occasional independent interaction with PEO IWS 4.0 contractors, customers and partners, and provides input to project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables.

Assists in the analysis of existing systems and the verification/validation of system requirements.

Performs basic engineering work in analysis, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system and technical product development.

Collects information and data in the performance of various tests, and the development of technical documents and test reports.

Complies with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties.

Provides recommendations for improvements to existing quality systems and applicable company procedures and guidelines.

Occasional travel, including OCONUS will be required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree plus 5 to 7 years of related experience. Degree must be in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years of  applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted AEGIS Weapon/Combat Systems Engineering experience highly desired.based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

Demonstrated command of engineering principles, methods, and techniques in area of expertise.

Secret Clearance is required.

Surface Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) experience is required.

Current passport is required. (Up to 25% travel required)

Effective customer and organizational level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

AEGIS Combat Systems Engineering experience is required.
