Job Description


Position Summary

  • The Supply Technician SCA is part of  a team working at Mid-Atlantic regional maintenance center (MARMC) or COMSUBLANT.
  • Performs complex logistics activities within established procedures including data management, configuration management, shipping & receiving, inventory control and supply maintenance.
  • Will be part of a contractor team supporting submarine integrated logistics overhauls in Groton, Ct.


  • Updates and maintains databases containing tracking information.
  • Prepares related reports and presentation materials for meetings with the customer.
  • Maintains warehouse and tracks movement of inventory and spares. 
  • Works with vendors to ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained according to a production schedule.
  • Completes paperwork to order additional equipment according to production plans. 
  • Verifies shipping records on incoming and outgoing shipments with bills, invoices, or other records. 
  • Verifies materials received are as ordered.
  • Prepare all necessary shipment documentation, such as: Bill of Ladings, Pallet Labels, and Packing Lists, etc.
  • Works cooperatively with cross functional teams on daily activities.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced Logistics Coordinators.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience and at least 5 years related experience preferably in a warehouse/logistics environment.
  • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the practices, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements involved in logistics.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
  • Candidate must be eligible for SECRET security clearance immediately upon employment.
