Systems Administrator - Norfolk VA

The Live Missions Operation Network (LMON) System Administrator is responsible for administration, maintenance, of client/server architecture used to support the development, testing, and delivery of enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services.

Candidate will be part of a team that performs system engineering, system integration, hardware and software support, and technical and administrative support services for LMON systems. Candidate will provide IT services and support baseline updates, installation services, software support services, and system administration services. Candidate will provide services for any and all phases of system engineering, integration and support to ensure customers meet mission goals and objectives. These efforts include the full range of infrastructure design, implementation and integration, including, but not limited to, concept development, planning, requirements definition and analysis, systems design, integration, testing, implementation, deployment, support and sustainment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline, plus at least two years of directly related experience or equivalent education and experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be
adjusted or waived for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, Server 2012 and 2016, as well as experience working in Virtualized environments (i.e., VMware)
- Basic understanding of Active Directory
- Experienced with Remedy ticketing system
- Experienced with help desk troubleshooting protocols
- Experienced resolving basic technical issues by providing scripted guidance regarding software and hardware problems
- Experience resolving more complex technical problems through a defined escalation process
- Experience with upgrades, migrations and integration
- Strong customer focus, including the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities
- Experience installing release upgrades
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Security + and or Microsoft certification
- Candidate must meet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT Level 2

Must be a US Citizen and currently hold and able to maintain a US Secret
security clearance.
