Position Summary

Lead Systems Programmer shall work with team to design, develop, deploy, and sustain an unclassified domain for USG customer supporting USG Developer Experience (DevX) products.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and sustain an unclassified domain for USG customer supporting DevX products and leveraging existing Digital Maker Services' capabilities. 

Work on team responsible for providing support for new unclassified domain cloud architecture for USG, including support to Dev/Sec/Ops, systems engineering, and maintenance of NGA processes and governance.

Work on team and ensure operations, processes, and procedures are implemented to improve the awareness, efficiencies, and effectiveness of new unclassified domain for USG supporting Digital Maker Services Self Service tools, Dev/Sec/Ops pipeline, and GEOINT Services capabilities.

Direct team to support DevX product line advancement to include architecting, developing and deploying to a new USG unclassified development space.

Provides technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing based systems. Makes recommendations on custom applications.. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency of business processes. Investigates and resolves application functionality related issues and provides first level support and troubleshooting. Coordinates application development for multiple projects.

Education and Experience

Experience must include a minimum of three (3) years of software development, dev/sec/ops pipelines, (and/or application development), and proficiency in AWS cloud environment.

Experience must include knowledge of National System for Geospatial Intelligence content standards, GEOINT Services’ Digital Maker Services capabilities/services, and USG cloud capabilities.

Experience must include prior development support to NGA or other IC organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate software concepts effectively. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in software and systems development. Experience with software development tools and programming languages.

An active TS/SCI security clearance or active TS with eligibility for SCI is required before hire.  Preference for CI polygraph within past 5 years.
