Responsibilities/Qualification

Position Summary

Alion is seeking a Junior Technical Analyst to support our Panama City, FL office!   This entry-level position has a great potential for growth into more responsibility and senior roles within an expanding work team!!

Under general supervision, analyzes actual and predictable operational activities of limited complexity in support of an established military system.  . Utilizes basic knowledge of measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, and other principles in assisting with analysis for prototype systems. Technical support may include hardware assembly, electrical integration, and testing of systems in land and marine based environments. Travel may be required based on customer needs. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under supervision of Senior Analysts and Technical Experts, supports the requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, verification and validation, testing, documentation and implementation for research and development based programs onsite NSWC PCD.
  • Provides technical assistance and support to organizational programs and projects.
  • Supports logistics functions when required to supplement senior level staff to complete documentation and routing of materials through Alion to NSWC PCD.
  • Conducts standard research on existing systems and makes recommendations for improvement in design and operation.
  • Provides on-going technical assistance to higher level Subject Matter Experts and Government customers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with project requirements.  
  • Must be able to pass required training and physical examination in order to operate forklifts to move materials.
  • Must be able to support land and marine based testing in austere environments if required.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Must be continuously flexible to changing requirements.


Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree plus 0 to 2 years of related experience.

Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience within the industry.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with Microsoft programs (word, excel, and outlook) is desired

Excellent customer service skills.

Eligibility to obtain a Secret level security clearance is required at time of employment.
