Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Serve as technical support in the research, design, coordination and conduct of Special Operations Joint Task Force (SOJTF) level exercise(s) that implements the capability of 1st Special Forces Command (A), Special Operations Joint Task Force headquarters staff.

Qualified candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of networking principles; internet working with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP); hardware and software installation; windowsbased server operating systems; interconnections of network devices; network security devices; Local Area Network infrastructure including routers (Cisco), switches (Cisco), servers (file, mail and proxy]; network management; information assurance tools, printers, scanners, cabling, common user software (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, etc.); and special-purpose workstations to interconnect deployed customers. Contractor shall have commercial certification at IAT Level II in accordance with DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Training, Certification and Workforce Management. Ability to implement software version changes.  Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.  Ability to work with self-initiative to accomplish identified tasks.  Ability to follow project schedules and meet designated completion dates. Ability to work alone as well in team.  Highly developed verbal and written communications.  Host Based Security System administrative experience and certification.  Knowledge of DoD certification and accreditation processes.
 
Provide services, between the hours of 7:30 AM ¿ 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, except federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Personnel will have routine access to Government-controlled facilities.

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Associate degree in a computer field or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in one or more of the following: Server Infrastructure. Desktop Infrastructure, Data Platform. Business Intelligence. Messaging. Communication. SharePoint.

  • As a condition of privileged access to any DoD information system, Technician (Mission Command Information Systems) must satisfy both preparatory and sustaining DoD IA training and certification requirements.
  • Minimal Background/Experience Required: One year experience with one or more of the following software programs or systems: Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Internet Relay Chat (IRC); Automated Information Discovery Environment (AIDE). Familiarity with one or more Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS).   
  • Additional Desired Qualifications/Experience: Have an understanding of interoperability of simulations to simulations and C2 systems to simulations. Special Operations experience preferred but not required.
  • Security Clearance: Secret clearance.
