Job Description



Responsibilities/Qualification

Electronics Test Technician will interface with a team to test, build and maintain complex C4ISR Systems while capturing maintenance and failure data.  Works under the supervision of more experienced staff in performing laboratory and field assignments of some complexity and variety. Provides advanced technical support in one or more areas of science or technology.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Computer Hardware and Software Testing using detailed Test Plans
  • Apply Software and Network Configurations to perform Component Integration
  • Troubleshoot and repair Hardware components using Multimeters, Load Banks and other Power Testing Tools
  • Capture and Compile Failure Data to be used for Reliability Analysis
  • Troubleshoot Operating Systems using Command Line Tools
  • Utilize Programming Scripts to perform autonomous Testing
  • Communicate Hardware Failures with Senior Test and Hardware Engineers
  • Maintain Component Logs and Work Packages to capture historical Component Data
  • Knowledge of lab and/or field testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of related tools, equipment, hardware, and software.
  • Ability to handle standard technical issues and coordinate technical resources.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of lab and/or field testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of related tools, equipment, hardware, and software.
  • Ability to handle standard technical issues and coordinate technical resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.

Required Skills:

  • Working Knowledge of Power Test Tools such as Multimeters, Load Banks and Oscilloscopes
  • Basic Network understanding and principles
  • Strong Software Command Line Interface skills to include an understanding of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Strong Oral and Written communications skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Project

Desired Skills:

  • Python or JavaScript experience
  • Experience with Electro Optical Sensor Systems
  • Experience with Video Multicasting

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years experience in a scientific or engineering area.
  • Certain positions may require 1 to 2 years of college and 4 years experience in a scientific or engineering area.
  • In rare circumstances, education and/or experience requirements may be decreased or waived if the individual has an extraordinary educational background or uniquely applicable experience or highly specialized knowledge
