Alion is seekin a VRAM (Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager) systems administrator to support the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) in Norfolk, VA.  The candidate selected must have excellent knowledge in vulnerability management frameworks as well as experience working with the VRAM system and reporting and compliance requirements.  The VRAM Administrator will work for the Enterprise Systems Division lead.  The VRAM architecture for each network will be meticulously diagrammed and documented for configuration management purposes. 


Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.  In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 3-5 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

  • 2+ years of experience in with VRAM.
  • 3+ years experience with vulnerability management of IT systems.
  • Must possess an understanding of DoD information assurance requirements and guidelines.
  • Must be able to create and modify Excel spreadsheets to explain vulnerability/asset relationships clearly to management.
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Must stay abreast of industry developments and applicable Government regulations.
  • Must be able to perform audits, operational analysis and risk assessments.
  • Must be capable of researching and developing proposals for recommended service enhancements.
  • Researches operational issues and providing mitigation recommendations
  • Be able to develop local policies and procedures that align with DoD and DoN policies and industry best practices
  • Must be able to develop standard operating procedures and architecture diagrams.
  • Needs strong oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgment and self-motivation.
  • Works independently with little to no supervision researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet the customers need while providing an unbiased opinion.


  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II

  • Security + highly preferred

Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.
